A special feature at MEDICA, the world’s leading medical trade fair will be the premiere of the MEDICA SPORT HUB. Located in the center of the physiotherapy and orthopedic technology theme segment in Hall 4, the MEDICA SPORTS HUB will invite visitors to an action area on all days of the trade fair for training and dialogue with Olympic athletes who are among the most successful in Germany's history: Heike Henkel (Olympic champion, world champion and world record holder in the high jump) and Lars Riedel (Olympic champion and multiple world champion in the discus discipline). MEDICA will be held from November 14 – 17, 2022 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Keynote speeches, talk sessions and sports exercises to take part in are planned every half hour between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm on each day of the trade fair. The thematic spectrum will range from mental health, nutrition, team success to professional endurance training to aspects of workplace health promotion.
“With the MEDICA SPORTS HUB we will demonstrate what characterizes trade fairs held in an in-person format. Only those who come to Düsseldorf have the opportunity to experience and interview top stars from the sports scene face-to-face”, said Christian Grosser, Director Health & Medical Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.
