800 exhibitors from 30 countries and 20 national and country groups
Two months before the start of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2023, the entire show floor space is fully booked, confirming Thailand’s growing importance as a regional medical and healthcare hub. Organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND will feature about 800 exhibitors from 30 countries, including 20 national and country groups. The event will be held in-person from September 13 – 15, 2023 at BITEC, Bangkok, followed by a week-long digital extension where participants can further connect and engage online. Returning after a 4-year pandemic related hiatus, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2023 will present a comprehensive global showcase of over 8,000 medical and healthcare innovations and solutions. Highlights this year will include three special areas: Community Care Pavilion, Start-Up Park and for the first time - the Medical Manufacturing Pavilion.
MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2023 will benefit from the dynamic medical and healthcare industry in Thailand which is projected to see revenue reach US$460.8 million by the end of this year, and an annual growth rate of more than 7% until 2027, resulting in a projected market volume of US$604.30 million. The Thai medical tourism sector is projected to reach US$24.4 billion by 2027 as it profits from the overall increase of the tourism industry.
Thailand continues to be a choice destination for many international companies in the medical and healthcare sector as demonstrated by the strong international participation in MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2023 which includes first time national pavilions from Canada, Latvia, Poland, Portugal and Turkey.
For Caner Gülsoy, Deputy General Manager, His Furacilik Hizmetleri Ltd Sti, organizer of the Turkey Pavilion, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND serves as a link between Turkish healthcare companies and potential partners or buyers in the Southeast Asian market, thus fostering collaboration and expanding Turkey's presence and influence in the regional healthcare industry: “The fair attracts a wide range of visitors, including healthcare professionals, distributors, suppliers, and industry experts from Southeast Asia and beyond. Participating in MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND allows Turkish healthcare companies to establish direct contact with potential partners and buyers in the Southeast Asian market. It provides a platform for networking, building relationships, and exploring collaboration opportunities.”
Reflecting on the potential of the trade fair as a robust platform for business and networking opportunities, Daphne Yeo, Senior Project Manager, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND, Messe Düsseldorf Asia, said: “Today, companies understand the critical need to collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing partners, for seamless delivery; against the challenges of rising prices and parts availability. Synergistic partnership across the value chain becomes more important than ever. MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND provides an essential platform for industry players to tackle these challenges, foster collaborations, and discover innovative solutions for sustained success in the ever-evolving healthcare industry.”
